Final Selection

The Design Process

The first thing that happens when we receive a new business logo design order is to get all our design team together for a brain storming meeting and start shooting ideas. There are a minimum of 3 designers per project. Some clients feel that having one designer is better as “Too many cooks….” and others believe “The more the merrier”, but projects can have more or less designers depending on the client. The designers will have a meeting and each logo designer will come up with design concepts to be worked upon by the group. This is also when they may ask the client for additional information. This is the creative stage and leads to the design of unique concepts.

Initial Concepts

By day three the designers will be sending out the initial concepts of the company logo design. These designs are presented to another designer (team leader of another business logo design project) for inspection and approval. The selected logo designs are then provided to the client for viewing and they can provide any revision instructions for each of the designs.

The initial concepts sent for this logo design project:

Concept A

Concept B

Concept C

Concept D

Concept E

In the email we send to the client with the initial concepts we also explain about the colors used by our design teams as we do not use RGB (Red, Green, Blue) color palette but instead the professional Pantone color system. The RGB color scheme is used on TV's, computer monitors and home/office printers. The Pantone color scheme is the industry standard and all professional printers use this color scheme as it has greater variety of pre-mixed colors for a consistent corporate look.

We also direct the client to available fonts from the online library at Adobe (we stock most of the Adobe fonts). Here the client can choose a font which appeals to them.

Clients Response

The client replied with the following comments:

I like the third choice.

1. Can you please try the same logo using color 3308 as the green and 548 as the blue and another with 560 as the blue.
2. Also the words G R O U P, Inc. need modification somehow.

The client decided to discard the other 4 designs and move ahead with a single design.
The client’s comments are passed on to the design team and they begin implementing the client’s instructions.

We aim to have the revised design/s back with the client in 2 business days.

Clients 2nd Revision

Once the design team have created the new concepts these are passed to the head designer for quality checks and if necessary returned to the designer to redo. The design team will not send out a design if they are not satisfied with the quality of the image.

These are the next set of concepts which were sent out to the client:

Concept C-1

Concept C-2

Concept C-3

Concept C-4

Concept C-5

The client can take as long as need to consider each of the designs and provide feedback.

We have hints on how to provide feedback and instructions. To view this page please clicks here:

Client Response to 2nd Revisions

I like the first design and colors in this e-mail. I would like to see the word group on the same line as the word advantages. As you can see the client decided to revert back to the original color scheme for the logo design. Once again the designs are passed back to our design team who implement the request.

3rd Set Of Revisions

When the design team have implemented the client’s instructions, we send out the designs for the client to approve:

Concept C-6

Concept C-7

The client responded to these designs with the following comment:

I like the first one in this e-mail. Can we try 286 as the blue color and 3415 as the green color.

The length of the design process depends entirely upon the number of revision rounds requested by the client. We offer unlimited revisions to allow the client to continue to perfection.

4th Set Of Revisions

These are great.  All we need now are the vector format files, and web-ready versions with transparency.  If we only get one, then it would have to be the First one:

Concept C-6A

The client provided the following feed back for the above design:

I think I need the word Advantages needs to be larger...a similar size to the very first set of designs you sent me.
It was initial concept 3.
I would like to see the word group on the same line as advantages.
I like the color.
I want the words Medical and Advantages to be almost the same size.
I would like the word group to be slightly smaller than the word advantages.
I would like the Inc. on the same line as Advantages and group.

The above information was provided over a few revision rounds and has been condensed, to make it easier to read.

When the design team had implemented the above requests, our design team sent out the following design.

Final Selection

The client was happy to finalize this design and move on to the stationary designs.

Initial Stationery Concepts

The next step in this package is Stationary design. This includes Business cards, Letterhead and Envelope/Compliment slip design.
The design team create an initial set of stationary concepts for the client using the logo design selected by the client. The color scheme is prearranged by the client when we are designing the logo,

Here are the initial stationary concepts.

Initial Concept A

Initial Concept B

Initial Concept C

The client responded with the following information:

I like the third choice. I would like to see the following adjustments to it.
1. Please remove my cell phone # from the business card.
2. Please put the contact information for the letterhead at the bottom of the page in either one or two lines across the bottom.

The design process is the same as the logo design process. The instructions are passed on to our design team who implement the client’s request.

1st Stationery Design Revisions

Our design team having implemented the client’s requests provided the following design:

Stationary C-1

*The next set of instructions contained sensitive client information (names, phone numbers and addresses) and as such these have been replaced with xxxxxx.*

The client’s instructions were:

Perhaps for the business card, you could put my name at the top right and xxxxxxxx name at the top left.

I like "A" for the business cards. We only want the cell number and e-fax and e-mail though.

In this email the client asked about web design services. If you would like to visit our sister site for exclusive services available to our clients, please visit:

2nd Stationery Design Revisions

Our design team created the following design using the clients previous set of comments.

The 2nd and 3rd revision rounds were merged into the above 1st round due to the information contained.

Final Selection

The client responded with the following comment:

This is perfect. Thank you. Please send me the final pack. Thank you.

Final Pack

We normally get the final pack out to the client in a day or so. The final image is sent to the client in this case
The final pack sent to the client, includes the following file types and formats;
