New Jersey is conveniently located between New York and Philadelphia. It is known as the crossroads of the East. Products from over 15000 factories can be delivered overnight to 60 million people. Because of its key location New Jersey saw much fighting during the American Revolution.

According to the Fortune 500 annual ranking of America’s largest corporations there are 5 New Jersey companies in the top 100, Johnson & Johnson, Medco Health Solutions, Prudential Financial, Honeywell and Merck. BASEBALL
While the origins of Baseball are constantly disputed with theories ranging from James Naismith in Springfield to Europeans in the early 1600’s there is no denying that the first organized game with rules not unlike the ones we have today took place on June 19th, 1846 between the Knickerbockers and the New York Nine at Hoboken, NJ.
On that day the New York Nine ran out winners 23-1 in 4 innings in front of a small crowd. Thanks to published illustrations of the day, the game soon became popular and a nationwide professional league was set up in 1871.
FRANK SINATRA
Frank Sinatra was born in 1915 in Hoboken, NJ, he appeared stillborn at first but then came to life under a cold tap. Because of this he
suffered a perforated eardrum. He is said to have sold over 500 million records between 1930 and 1990 and may be the 4th best selling musical artist of all time. He was known as a member of the “Rat Pack”, “The Voice” and “’Ol Blue Eyes”. He is said to be New Jersey’s most famous resident.
PARKWAY BRIDGE
New Jersey is unofficially divided into 2 geographical areas whose names change depending on who you talk to. There is “this” side of the Parkway Bridge and “that” side of the Parkway Bridge.
The bridge went through an $84 million upgrade recently which was welcome news for the 220,000 motorists who cross it each day.
