You said that you are able to save one of the file types as a TIF file, upon receiving yiour final logo product. You said that this is best when printing in CMYK. Can you tell me if you start your Illustrator design in CMYK or RGB? If you are designing with spot colors to begin with, does it really matter what color platform you start with? Do you convert to CMYK when saving the file or what? I am confused.
Please let me know.
Thanks!

Hi Mark,
We design in spot colors as this is by far the best color scheme for design. The pantone system allows our clients to specify exactly how they would like their design to print and overcomes any problems that can be caused by the way an RGB monitor displays color.
When converting spot color designs to CMYK Illustrator converts the pantone color to the closest CMYK equivilent this is how the TIF file is created.
We can also make the same conversion to RGB color but the spot color design is always our base.
